Home Fry's and bacon tasted like fish! Eggs over easy were snotty. Black coffee was like dish water.. watered down with little flavor. The toast was the only thing done right thankfully. Service was good but I'll never go here again and l can't recommend eating here.
A great, friendly neighborhood restaurant, even if you're from out of town or just passing through. (Well worth the couple minute detour off 80, if that's what you're looking for.)

Excellent food and very inexpensive! The service is fast and friendly. You can grab a quick bite, or just hang out and chat. They don't rush you out to turn the table for other customers.
The servers were unfriendly and inefficient. You seat yourself, and they get to you when they notice you. The kitchen is agonizingly slow; we waited almost 50 minutes for an omelette, a pancake, and a croissant. Mediocre is a nice word for the food. My omelette was flat, salty, and lifeless. The "hash browns" were burned and devoid of flavor. Our daughter's high chair didn't even have buckles, and the men's room faucet didn't have hot water. Thank god our meal was cheap, but I don't see what Rose's Place is going for. Any one of a thousand NJ diners would give you better food and service for the same price.
